East Valley Girls’ Softball League Home of the Twisters!!
EVSL has been developing young girls’ knowledge and love of the game since 1996. From the novice to the elite player our goal is to have every girl succeed and expand their playing skills thru practice and playing. (Every girl plays Every game!)
Our league is a Santa Clara County-wide League and available to all Santa Clara County girls which means we are not restricted by territory. Any girl at least 5 years old and not more than 16 years old, as of January 1, 2009 is eligible to play. We welcome all applicable ages and every skill level. We will be holding sign-ups on the following dates below (please bring a copy of your daughters’ birth certificate) EVSL has a history of Extreme Excellence. Taking players from our Spring League program to our Summer League producing teams, within several divisions, our teams have placed 1st and 2nd in the Nor Cal Championships which advanced them to the Western ASA Nationals. Many of our girls have started within our program as novice players and developed their skills within our league to become some of the top players within many of the Bay Areas top ‘A’ leagues. EVSL History
East Valley Softball League is dedicated to providing an important outlet for girls and young women who wish to participate in competitive athletics. The organization serves the East Valley area from the Evergreen District to the South all the way to Milpitas to the North. Although EVSL is an actual charter member of the Police Athletic League (PAL), concerned and dedicated parents and community members created this organization. The EVSL membership was formerly connected with the East Hills Little League Baseball Program. due to the increasing interest in girls softball and the age limit in Little League, the founding members of EVSL saw a need to create for the girls "A League of Their Own."
EVSL provides a softball program that speaks for itself, there was a need to create a program that would accommodate the increasing demand for community activities for girls, and an even greater need to create a program designed specifically for girls. Therefore, EVSL was created. Our presence at the Ocala Middle School Softball Complex has deterred gang activity and has encourage more use by families in the surrounding neighborhood.
Our goal has and will always be to provide a safe and fun environment for the girls of East San Jose to enjoy the game of softball. The early fruits of our labor are now in their Freshman and Sophomore year in college and it is with great pride when they come back to thank a coach or manager for helping them enhance their abilities not only on the field but in other aspects of their lives. As we have seen in the past many local high schools playing in the CCS Divisional Play Offs we are reminded of just how far we have come and how much more needs to be done for the young women in our community. As our community grow in leaps and bounds, East Valley Softball League will grow along with it.
